Anchorage Corvette Association History

The Anchorage Corvette. Club began in 1969 when there were more dirt roads than paved. But the passion for the Vette took them to the streets anyway. These gatherings became a habit, and thus the founding of the Anchorage Corvette Club.
In the beginning there were 13 members (all men). Then in 1971 the club incorporated as the Anchorage Corvette Association, Inc. Since that time we have grown to almost 100 members  and 85 Corvettes. In 2019 we celebrated our 50th anniversary.

We are a “low maintenance, no pressure” group whose aim is to enjoy our cars and provide opportunities to our members to get together socially with the Corvette as the common purpose and interest. The club holds a monthly meeting the third Wednesday of each month. Club functions include road trips, Car shows, picnics, parties, road rallies and other family orientated activities as well as participation with other car clubs in the area.
